Captain Michael Taylor is the Commander over the Administrative Division, which encompasses the Office of Professional Standards, Records Divisions, Accounting/Purchasing, Community Outreach, and Public Safety Liaisons.
Captain Taylor has had a diverse career in law enforcement. With over 20 years of law enforcement experience he has served in Community Affairs, Selective Enforcement Unit, SWAT, Narcotics, CID, the Uniformed Patrol Commander, and the Commander over the Special Operations.
Captain Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Thomas University, Professional Management Program Certification through Columbus State University, and Certification in Leadership in Police Organizations certification through the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Captain Taylor attended the FBI National Academy class #277 in Quantico, Virginia. Captain Taylor is a US Marine Corps veteran who served in both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.
The Records Division is responsible for the retaining, storing, and purging of all records at the police department.
The Records Division is open Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (excluding holidays).
