The Records Division plays a vital role in supporting the operations of the police department. Our responsibilities include:

  • Responding to open records requests
  • Managing and securely storing all departmental records
  • Providing fingerprinting and criminal background check services to the public
  • Processing permits
  • Handling a wide range of administrative tasks that keep our department running smoothly

The Records Division is responsible for the retention, storage, and purging of all records at the police department.

The Records Division is open Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (excluding holidays).

If you wish to have a charge expunged from your record, there is paperwork that must be completed. This paperwork can be picked up at the front window of the Records Division. Should you have any questions, please contact us at 770-974-1232 or records@acworth-ga.gov.
